Yesterday was Harry Potter's birthday, and according to math, he is now 44 years old. It is kind of insane to think this man was technically born in 1980 when all I think about when I picture him is that 11-year-old boy who could not believe Hargid when he told him he was a wizard.

I feel oddly protective of that 11-year-old, and even though I know he is just a fictional character, I hope he had a good birthday yesterday. I hope he got to celebrate it in the Burrow with his wife, kids, and the rest of the Weasleys, including his two best friends. I hope he got a lot of funny birthday presents from Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, a nice knitted sweater from Molly, something thoughtful from his kids, and of course, a cake from Hagrid.
